To all,
Progress on the new wall system has gone quite well, even though there was a mix up with the wall system order. The missing material has arrived, and with good weather the walls could be fully erected by weeks end. There are a number of things to do beyond erecting the blocks that must be completed, prior to pouring.
They are as follows:
sleeves for the water and sewer must be installed
leveling and securly bracing the walls for pouring
building and installing the window bucks into the walls
along with the bracing, some form of walkway must be constructed along side the top of the wall for pouring access.
Once the aforementioned are completed and the walls are poured there is a seven day curing period until the sill plates can be attached and framing may begin.
It is going just great, and with a little luck, we could be pouring in the week after next.
Tom
